It was another cool but sunny day &#8211; great running conditions, although waiting around at the start gets a bit chilly.<\/p>\n<p>My results:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gpdawson.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/City2SurfResults2010.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-185\" title=\"City2SurfResults2010\" src=\"http:\/\/www.gpdawson.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/City2SurfResults2010.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"651\" height=\"207\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gpdawson.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/City2SurfResults2010.png 651w, https:\/\/www.gpdawson.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/City2SurfResults2010-300x95.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 651px) 100vw, 651px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This was more than 2 minutes slower than <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gpdawson.com\/blog\/2009\/08\/12\/city-to-surf\/\">last year<\/a>. I can&#8217;t say I&#8217;m sure why, because my training has been quite similar in distance and intensity to last year&#8217;s, in most ways. So although I&#8217;ve been running as a hobby for more than 25 years, there are still some mysteries in the way my body behaves!<\/p>\n<p>But once again it was a memorable occasion. People were extra friendly on the day, and I chatted to several complete strangers.
